Meet the Team: Kathleen Moorby

What's your title?

Program Manager.

In simple terms, what does your job entail?

I am responsible for end-to-end program management on key customer focused programs. My current priority is leading the design and delivery of an industry-led and supported Australian cyber security accreditation scheme for AustCyber.

The establishment of a globally aligned accreditation scheme will further strengthen our confidence and trust in Australia’s cyber security capability and create a healthy and growing pipeline of appropriately skilled cyber security professionals to meet the demand of this rapidly growing industry.

What are you looking to bring to Stone & Chalk? What does success in your role look like?

Before working with Stone & Chalk/AustCyber I spent a number of years working in the healthcare sector designing and delivering professional programs for health professionals and people living with specific health conditions.

For me success would be to draw on my previous experience, successes and learnings to deliver programs that address the needs of our customers that have real impact and measurable outcomes.

What excites you about the next year at Stone & Chalk?

I am really excited for the challenge. I enjoy leading programs of work that are customer focused, complex and have a big impact.

What sort of questions should people come to you about?

I am happy to discuss anything that relates to the Australian cyber security industry and ecosystem, program/project management and applying secure by design principles to digital products.

I believe ‘knowledge is power but only if it's shared’ so I’m always happy to be part of any knowledge sharing opportunities.

What's your greatest career achievement?

I have actually had many achievements that I am proud of but I think my ability to continue to progress my career both vertically and horizontally across industries is one of my greatest achievements. I am also very proud of the design and delivery of the Pharmacy Practice Incentive Program I was responsible for when working at The Pharmacy Guild of Australia. It was challenging and complex, and the most successful program delivered under the community pharmacy agreement programs funded by the federal government.

How would you best describe yourself in a lift?

I would say I am visionary, creative, curious and people oriented. I like to solve problems, learn new things and enjoy being challenged.

Tell us something about yourself outside of work.

I like to get involved in the community and have spent many years volunteering for different community activities and programs involving children and people with disabilities.

I also like to challenge myself now and then. My current personal challenge is in support of a charity called SisterWorks. I am walking the WA Cape to Cape trek (135km) at the beginning of September to raise awareness and funds for SisterWorks and their programs which support refugee, asylum seeker and migrant women with meaningful opportunities to develop pathways of education, employment, entrepreneurship and leadership.
