CAANZ Innovation Challenge

Stone & Chalk has partnered with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) to launch the CAANZ Innovation Challenge to solve major taxation and financial sector issues.

We are calling on all innovators who want to develop real-world solutions and develop their business offering.

Taxation and compliance are becoming more complex, with manual processes, outdated systems, and cybersecurity risks creating inefficiencies for accountants and businesses.

CAANZ is seeking scalable, innovative solutions to tackle three key challenges. For startups, this is a rare chance to:

  • Work directly with CAANZ tax and finance experts to validate your ideas
  • Develop a market-ready solution with real industry feedback.
  • Build your corporate readiness in a safe space
  • Open doors to further corporate collaboration, partnerships, and pilot programs.
  • Gain recognition by demonstrating expertise through CAANZ-backed innovation.

It’s also a chance to connect meaningfully with other startups, innovators and key players in the ecosystem.

Applications for the CAANZ Innovation Challenge are now closed.

Who should apply

The challenge is open to all startups and scaleups with a meaningful solution. Ideal applicants include but not limited to:

  • Startups with expertise in fintech, regtech, AI, or cyber security.
  • Innovative ventures working on tax automation, fraud detection, compliance, and system integration.
  • Companies developing AI-driven insights, real-time payment tracking, or secure authentication systems.
  • Founders looking to collaborate with CAANZ and expand their presence in the sector.

We encourage Stone & Chalk residents to participate in the program, and applications from external startups are also welcome.
